Sims 4 Naked Woohoo
  • I've always seen steam. But, I haven't done it with a shower/tub combo, only a standalone shower. So perhaps it's related to shower type?

It's awful isn't it? I don't even have my sims do shower woohoo because I can't stand to look at how pathetic it is. I mean would it of been to much trouble for them to at least try make it appear as if the sims are actually inside the slower?
Sims get in and out of the shower with their clothes on as well which also makes no sense. I'm very disappointed with this interaction.

  • If you use the normal shower there is steam

I did direct my sims to use a normal shower, but they chose to go to that one instead. For some reason, they don't pay attention to what I am directing them to. Usually, I play with free will on, but with this one, I have clicked the box that takes some of their freewill away.

The shower/bath combo has steam, too
    Edit: better picture

  • Even if there is steam, you can still see they've disappeared. Shower woohoo is totally lame.

I totally agree. I wish somebody would make a fix for it.

That is true. It's weird. I always liked the animations in Sims 2 where you'd see movement, and an arm or leg would pop up. Particularly in the hot tub. I mean.. does anyone who's playing this game not have some concept of what they are doing? It does seem silly (and lazy) to have them just vanish.
  • Yes and, as @Sharonia said above, it's also ridiculous that they get into the shower fully dressed.
It seems totally unacceptable to me that they have just re-used the closet animations with no adjustments at all.
Perhaps they can re-do it at some point in the near future, like they re-did that fiasco called the toddler ball pit. Though I doubt they will bother as there is no huge outcry about it.
They have a nasty habit of re-using animations without any adjustments whatsoever and it smacks of cheapness and cutting corners.
  • It was done so poorly, I never use shower woohoo. Evidently, their budget for the new animations in DU wasn't enough to cover redoing the closet woohoo animation and actually making one for the showers. They should have left it alone rather than passing it off as something new. It isn't new. It was a lazy attempt at adding a new woohoo spot to DU. And that is becoming old and stale after so many packs, too.
Expecting us to pay for re-skinned objects, as well as reused animations, that are given minimal new functions in pack after pack, is an insult. We've been waiting for so much to be fixed and updated, but then we get this 'new' shower woohoo? And the only impact it had in my game was it borked all my showers and tubs until a mod fixed the problem weeks before the teams got around to doing it. The only way this will ever be right is if a modder takes on the task on their own. Don't count on the teams to do it because they're already knee deep in creating new packs, and they seldom revisit their past mistakes.
  • My sims in TS3 hardly ever used ANY other spot for woohoo. I see my TS4 sims won't be developing THAT habit. There are plenty of other spots, on the rare occasion my sims decide to have some fun. For all other times, there are mods.
I was looking forward to shower woohoo coming back, but glad I didn't get that excited for it. That's absolutely poorly done. At least they could have made the steam really dense, so that we couldn't see that the sims just weren't there.

  • It's really disappointing isn't it?
In TS3 I used to use it all of the time for my couple sims before work. It got social, fun and hygiene up for two sims at the same time. I was pretty excited to see it come back then disappointed pretty quickly. I mean it's function still works yeah, but.. what a let down.
